So many of us have been taught to think that we can "sleep when we're dead" or "sleep is for the weak" - as if sleep is something that holds us back from fulfilling our potential. Today, on the eve of the NBA launch, we launch year 2 of our multi-year partnership with LeBron James! This year's work is around the power of sleep - a critical component of mental health. More than you think. Here are some more helpful tips on how HR people can do just that, and, oh yeah, a year of free Calm, just for them: So in between the year-end recruiting targets, c-suite ego calming, burnout prevention seminars, heartbreaking layoff processing, holiday party planning and ‘what even is business in 2022’ brainstorm sessions… we just want to remind the HR people of the world to breathe (when possible), decompress (somehow), and take care of their own mental health. That’ll take a toll on anyone’s mental health. ![]() People in HR are peacekeepers, burnout soothers, remote work organizers, benefit distributors, team motivators, tireless recruiters and… actual people. Actual people with actual lives whose actual job is to take care of other actual people. They’re navigating a way of working no one ever even imagined 3 years ago and trying to keep a business running amidst a thing we’re all calling THE GREAT RESIGNATION.
